Last night after receiving the disappointing news that Sarah would not be running for president.  I was really thinking over what she had said about effecting change by not running.

As many die hard Palin supporters, I just couldn’t believe she had said that.  I’m thinking that we need her on the “inside” getting things done.

And then…

A simple thought crossed my mind about football of all things.  I thought about Jimmy Johnson who in 1989 became the new head coach of The Dallas Cowboys.   He took over and made smart choices and the right decisions to pick the key players that in a few short years would build a winning team and take The Cowboys from being losers to two Super Bowl victories.

Our Conservative team has been lacking a good coach.  I have confidence that by her not being the owner but by being our coach, Sarah Palin will lead our country into a huge victory.  With Palin picking the right key players to send to Washington, and all of us Palinistas playing the supporting roles on offensive and defensive, we can change the tide and we can achieve victory not only at the polls but for the direction of our country.

Palin gets protective order against ’stalker’

Sarah Palin obtained a protective order Monday against an 18-year-old Pennsylvania man who sent her receipts from a gun purchase, along with a letter saying “he tried to follow the Bible but had evil and wickedness in him.”

I woke up this morning to find this headline on Yahoo.

GOP dream derailed by tea party? -A huge upset in Delaware may threaten the Republican Party’s main midterm election goal.

This story went on to talk about Christine O’Donnell as if she wasn’t a republican at all but a “conservative activist” .

Quoting some anonymous guy “It’s hard to see a path for us,” one senior Republican official, who declined to be named while discussing party strategy, told The Upshot. “Never say never, but it has become much harder for us after tonight.”

Then the story went on with BS, BS and more BS!

The fact of the matter is that there are many in the GOP that need to be weeded out because frankly their values are not that of what the republican party should really stand for at all.   The people on the right see that, whether they are true right wingers or people like myself that lean right.

All I can say is that the GOP establishment better heed the warning and get behind moving in the right direction.  The tea party folks are serious! We have a voice, dollars and a vote.

The old guard and the media can’t control us because we’re not sheeple!

My husband has been watching The History Channel they have had shows on all day about 9-11. It’s so sad to watch all this again, the tears keep welling up.

And then Lord forgive me I got P.O.ed thinking about one person that doesn’t feel like most… “America’s chickens have come home to roost.”, Rev. Wright. You know the guy that was Obama’s spiritual mentor, the one who wed Michelle and Barack, and the one who baptized their children. But that was never a big deal to lots of voters.

Palin plays Point guard for the American Conservatives

Look at this description of the duties of a point guard and apply them to her political actions…once a team leader …always a team leader…

Point guard (PG), also called the play maker or “the ball-handler”, is one of the standard positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position – essentially, they are expected to run the team’s offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right players at the right time. Above all, the point guard must totally understand and accept his or her coach’s game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football.

Point guard characteristics…

A point guard, like all player positions in basketball, has specific characteristics that are essential for them to help guide their team to a victory. The Basketball Handbook by Lee Rose describes a point guard as a coach on the floor, who can handle and distribute the ball to teammates. It also states that the more speed a point guard has, the more likely he will be able to create separation and space off the dribble, which allows the point guard room to work. Point guards should also be vocal floor leaders, and should discuss rule interpretations with officials. A point guard must always know the time on both the shot clock and the game clock, the score, the number of timeouts for both teams, and whom to foul late in the game.

Offense

The point guard is almost always positioned on the perimeter of the play, so as to have the best view of the action. This is a necessity because of the point guard’s leadership obligations. Many times, the point guard is referred to by announcers as a “coach on the floor” or a “floor general”

Defense

A point guard primarily defends on the perimeter, just as he primarily plays on the perimeter on offense. On defense, the point guard is tasked with making the opposing point guard as ineffective as possible. A defensive point guard will try to accomplish this with constant pressure on the ball, making it difficult to maintain possession. A defensive point guard will also pressure passing lanes to his opponent to try and generate steals and offensive opportunities for his own team. via wikipedia
