Tea Parties were held all over the Nation today in honor of Rick Santelli who ranted about government spending on CNBC.

I attended the one at Victory Park in Dallas, TX. along with about a couple of hundred people. Not a bad turn out for short notice, it was only announced three days ago. I heard laughing and joking in the crowd, “Conservatives protesting, this is something you don’t see everyday.” One lady even told me that her liberal friend hugged her when she found out she would be going to her first protest. I also met someone there from TeamSarah.org

Below are some pictures from the Dallas Tea Party today. I wish I had better pictures but my camera batteries were dead so I had to use my cellphone.

LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!!!

Well, I told you folks it was coming to a town near you. “TEA PARTY ‘09.” Let “the man” know that you’re mad, and you’re not going to take it anymore!! Bring your protest signs and indignant taxpayer attitude with you to the rally at the outside stage at The Cowtown Bar & Grill on Friday, the 27th of February, from 3pm to 7pm, located at 7108 Camp Bowie Blvd Fort Worth, TX 76116 (817) 570-7910 We hope to have a guest speaker there from KLIF radio. The “Desert Son Band” will be performing on the outside stage with their original music and some covers appropriate for the rally. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Please tell everyone you know about the event. The only way for us to be heard, is to spread the word. I’ll be putting out flyers, advertising on the internet (like this), and I’ve already been on the air with JD Wells at KLIF radio, plugging the event. If anyone knows any celebrities that would like to speak, please let me know, and we’ll schedule them in.

Colorado Americans for Prosperity is organizing a protest countering President Obama’s visit to the city to sign the porkulus legislation at an exclusive, invitation-only event at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in City Park. Protesters will gather at the west steps of the Capitol (Lincoln Street, between 14th and Colfax) from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mountain time.

I am making good on my promise to deliver a roasted pig to the event.

The protest against the porkulus is on for President’s Day!

Date: Monday, February 16th
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: Westlake Park in downtown Seattle, 401 Pine St., in the open area by the big arch.

The idea is to use what we’ve learned about dissent over the last eight years. We need loud protests with lots noise and visuals. So, what should you bring?

Bring AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN! Bring your families, your friends, neighbors, bring everyone!

Bring SIGNS!! Get those craft making juices flowing and make signs and banners and pictures and paintings. Just imagine that you are a left-wing college student with nothing else to do and that should help you get started!

Bring something to sit on and appropriate clothing.

Most importantly, JUST BRING IT!!!
