A friend of mine posted this on my facebook wall:

I was wondering what you thought of all this tea party business. I really don’t know much about it, I’ll admit. I respect your opinion though, so I’d appreciate your thoughts on it

Then the same friend commented:

After looking at your pictures again, I think I just answered my own question. I should have known you’d be right in the middle of it carrying the banner.

This was my response:

If only I had a horse!

In short it’s about the fools that think because we work and go to our kids soccer games that they can do whatever they want and the fact is they were hired to do the right things for all the people. Instead they are busy spending money like crazy… seriously who would hire anyone in our government to be their personal accountant? We’d be sittin’ there like Nicolas Cage!

And instead of honest debate they want to call the people of the Tea Party names…. distracting from the true issues and they are hoping we’ll back down because nobody wants to be labeled crazy, teabagger, or racist. Last time I looked the U.S. debt didn’t have anything to do with mental illness, sucking balls or the color of a persons skin.

This isn’t a football game where it’s the donkeys vs. the elephants. This is we the people vs. the government. This weekend we’ll stuff our faces and watch fireworks but we should remember that BRAVE men and women put their lives on the line so that we would be free from a king. They had this awesome idea that we are the rulers and our elected officials are the servants and sadly that is becoming less of a reality and more of a chapter in a history book.

When someone like Joe the Plumber asks a question and gets an honest answer and our media attack him… that’s not my country!!! When the media protects the government instead of fairly informing the people… that’s not my country!!! When our sitting president stands up and mocks the citizens because they don’t agree with him… that’s not my country!!! When congress passes bills that the majority is against… that’s not my country!!! When a president would rather defend people here illegally than protect the interests of the country’s citizens… that’s not my country!!!

So let them call me a redneck for the things I believe and I’ll stand up proud and say, “Thank you!”

Have a safe and Happy 4th July!

Today is the day. The one day that will change the next four (or more) years of your life. It is EXTREMELY important that you get out there and vote. Be prepared for long lines. Be prepared to stay for hours. Don’t think, well I’ve got other things to do. HELLO! This will be a turning point in our country and YOUR VOTE COUNTS!!

Dress in layers so that if it gets hot or cold you can be comfortable in line. Bring drinks, snacks, a bagged lunch or dinner. (Don’t drink too much you don’t want to have to go to the bathroom.) Bring a book, a gameboy, an ipod, just something to keep you from getting bored. If you have kids take them along (I did). Whip out the strollers, toys, books, activities, snacks, sippy cups, you name it. Show them the importance of voting.

Make your voice count and take the time/make the time to cast your vote. While your at it , say a prayer for our country in this time of uncertainty. It is an honor to live in the United States and we should all remember that we have a voice because of the country we live in. So stop arguing amongst each other and just VOTE! And tomorrow, no matter who wins, we need to be thankful for this great country and instead of letting the winner divide us, we need to unite and make the best of things.

The Media wants BO to win so badly that they will shamelessly push this false narrative for his Campaign. They want you and ALL McCain Supporters to believe that your vote will be meaningless, that he is so far ahead it’s unnecessary to vote for McCain. They want you to believe that Obama will easily win the battleground states and even some solid red states. THEY WANT TO SUPPRESS YOUR VOTE. DO NOT LET THEM. They want you to feel hopeless. It’s all a head game, a fake out. All of this talk about Obama being ahead is just garbage the Obamedia shovels to make you give up and sit home so he can win. That’s what breeds Eeyores. And Eeyores giving up and staying home is why Hillary Clinton won Indiana by only 1% when she should have won it by 9%. It really is as simple as that.

So, heads up out there — if you can get Rush to talk about this stuff on air, it would do Republicans a world of good. Make as many people see the media for what they are — a paid extension of the Obama campaign — as humanly possible, keep your heads up, and let’s put another crack in the glass ceiling by making Sarah Palin the nation’s first female Vice President, while putting John McCain, a good and decent man we trust behind the Resolute Desk…

The point of the post was that we can’t tolerate any group that wants to suppress another or their ideas by violence or intimidation.
